Walking around Venice

Venice Canals, LA in paint, pen, and a bit of nostalgia.

I’ve wanted to see these canals ever since watching Californication for the first time back in 2011. It wasn’t exactly a Hank Moody experience… I was calm, jet-lagged, and very much not causing chaos, but it still felt surreal to walk through a place I’d only seen on screen.

This piece is my take on that day.
